Sokala Villas are set in the picturesque bay of Muri Lagoon, Rarotonga, Cook Islands. Our beach-side villas come with their own facilities and many with their own pool. You are just a few steps from the tranquil turquoise lagoon where you can snorkel by day and relax with a drink at sunset.

Location
Sokala Villas is situated on a corner of Rarotonga’s beautiful Muri beach on the east coast of Rarotonga. The villas look out across the lagoon to uninhabited palm-lined islands, over which the sun and moon rise.
Accommodation
The rustic log cabin exteriors are complimented by pine-walled interiors. Each villa features a spacious timber deck, just the place for relaxing with a cool drink and a good book.
Each villa has one bedroom, where there’s a four-poster king-size bed. With the two-level villas the bedroom is upstairs on a mezzanine floor. There’s a queen-size bed downstairs in the lounge, which is made up in a studio room fashion for triple or quad bookings. The villas are self-contained and serviced daily, except Sundays (extra towels delivered on Saturdays).
Dining & Entertainment
If you want to eat in, each villa has a small kitchenette, and if you want to eat out the Flametree Restaurant is just next door. Along the beach is the Sandals Restaurant, the Barefoot Bar, and Sails Restaurant.
Activities
Swim and snorkel in the beautiful lagoon. Take a kayak, or just relax on the beach.
Rarotonga has a round the island bus service and there is also car and bike hire.
Honeymoons
Muri Lagoon offers a delightfully romantic setting for your tropical paradise honeymoon.
Weddings
Imagine sand between your toes, waves lapping onto the shore and the warm air on the breeze. Imagine taking your wedding vows together on our beautiful island, with nothing else but our idyllic surroundings.
You will need your passport and birth certificate. For those who have been married before, you will need your divorce papers and or death certificate. All documents must be in English or translated in English. Marriages in the Cook Islands are legally binding worldwide
The Marriage Registrar has a minimum of 3 working days to process the marriage documents, prior to the wedding day. Couples will need to apply their intent of marriage 3 days prior to your wedding.
Having your wedding within the minimum required days will incur an extra fee of $45. Please note that all our prices for our packages are for over the 3 minimum days.
Be entertained by an island stringband or a serenader and island dancers. Let the beat of the drums and the melody take you away on your magical day.
Kindly note that we will not organise weddings on the following days:
Sundays, Christmas and New Year’s Day, Easter Friday & Easter Monday.
Weddings held on a Cook Islands public holidays will incur a surcharge.
Sokala Villas will only organise weddings for guests that are staying at Sokala.
All weddings will be held on Sokala Villa’s property only.
